Last updated: 12.01.25
According to the Internet source given below, Clarence Wainwright Murphy [Charles William Murphy] as C. W. Murphy was an English composer of music hall and musical theatre tunes, born in Manchester.
His best known songs are probaby Flangagan (1910), made famous by Florrie Forde and Has Anybody Here Seen Kelly? (1908). Will Letters wrote the lyrics to both.
He died in Blackpool.
He is not to be confused with ragtimer Clarence Wainright Murphey.
