p_gallimoref.jpgAccording to the Internet source given below, Florrie Gallimore was an English music hall artist born in Sheffield.
She debuted as a 7-year old in pantomime at Sheffield's Theatre Royal going on to play children's parts until 1882 when performed at Sheffield's Gaeity Music Hall as a male impersonator.
Her London debut was at the Metropolitan Music Hall in 1884 where she sang Tyrolean ditties.
Her further career as an actress, dancer and singer took her to all the major music halls in the United Kingdom as well as touring America, Africa and Australia.
She had the unique experience of having played Principal Girl opposite her daughter Josie Delaine (1890-?) as Principal Boy in Dick Whittington at the Theatre Royal in Sheffield.
She died in Whitstable, Kent.
