Peter Warlock (1894-1930)

According to The New Penguin Dictionary of Music, Peter Warlock [pseudonym used as composer Philip Heseltine] wrote about music (e.g. a book about Delius) under his own name. Works include song-cycle "The Curlew" and many other songs; also suite Capriol Suite, choral works, choral serenade for Delius's 60th birthday, etc. Also transcribed old English music, e.g. by John Dowland. His sudden death is often presumed to have been a suicide.
