Maltworms
Last updated: 11.10.23
According to The Choral music of Peter Warlock Vol. 1, the lyrics to Maltworms by Peter Warlock were originally sung in "a right pithy, pleasant, and merry comedy" Gammer Gurton's Needle (1575) but song itself is of an earlier date. Here Warlock uses three verses of I Cannot Eat But Little Meat to his setting written in 1926.

This song is included in We're Only Here For The Beer! - Light by Dr. Rosteck and myself.
