According to the Internet sources given below, Donald Alexander Chalmers was an American bass singer born in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. A prolific recording artist, he made at least 328 recordings between 1907 and 1929. It is surprising that so little about him can presently (May 2022) be gleaned about him by Internet searching.
He died in Neptune Township, Monmouth County, New Jersey.
