Lee Edgar Settle  (1882-)

According to the Internet source given below, Lee Edgar Settle was an American ragtime pianist and composer. Born and raised in New Franklin, Missouri, a natural talent, he was something of a prodigy in his amateur musical family that encouraged and supported him. He spent some 30 years touring the Midwest and playing everything from solos, dances, country bands and even accompanying silent movies. Today he is known as the one-off composer of his only published work, X. L. Rag (1903).
