St. Stephen's Day Carol
Last updated: 11.10.23
I learned St. Stephen's Day Carol when a member of the Tyneside Maritime Chorus which was always sung when the festive season came round. A lovely song it is also generally sung at the December meeting, a Come all Ye session at the Cumberland Arms, Ouseburn, Newcastle upon Tyne. The theme of the song is similar to that given in The Wren Song but not quite so cruel.
This song may be found in the Tyneside Maritime Chorus songbook
