I remember hearing Blowin' in the wind in the Petty Officer's mess HMS Lofoten in 1964 because one of the mess members, a stoker PO (or POME as they were rightly named), was a Bob Dylan fan. I didn't take into my repertoire however, until some thirty years later when I turned solo. The version I sing can be found in Lieder, Songs und Gospels 1.
