Clarence Woods (1888-1956)

Clarence Woods was a white American performer/composer of ragtime music and other pieces and reputed to have been a brilliant pianist to whom performing was more important than composing. He is perhaps best known for his Slippery Elm Rag (1912) and Sleepy Hollow (1918), both of which are still recorded even today.
