We are pleased to announce that as of 01.11.19 we have a total of 23 items of D-series recorder quartets in stock. This series is derived from the Recorder Ragtime Sheet Music Series. Lacking the great bass and other voices, these pieces obviously do not have the same fullness of sound as the full versions. The recorder quartet adaptations have been written with those smaller ensembles not having a great bass in mind especially to allow full enjoyment of the ragtime melodies. They retain all the original keys and range scales and are at least as demanding as the full versions. In these selected pieces, the first voice has the melody throughout (excepting for a few bars in some cases), the second and third voices generally accompany the first in close harmony, with the occasional rhythmic element whilst the fourth voice is fully occupied from start to finish. No bar counting here!
