Length: approx. 5 mins. Sounds best with the 2nd tenor and bass doubled.
A Wigwam Courtship represents Sadie Koninsky's contribution to the then Indian theme craze which hardly any ragtime era composer, chose to ignore. An all tenor/bass affair quite appropriate to the red-skin touch its form being AABBACCAABBA with a 8-bar introduction whereby the AB- and C-strains are written in the major keys of F and Bb respectively. The cover of the original sheet music shows a contented Indian pair before a wigwam.
A Wigwam Courtship was published by Edw. M. Koninsky & Bros Music Co., Troy, New York, USA.
A tempo of 80 crotchets/min. is suggested.
