Wassail

I came across "Wassail" in
Songs and Dances of England by Liz Thomson (1982) and very much enjoy singing it. For me it is a very fine old English folk-song. It raises the activity of mere boozing to a high cultural art-form with fine language, wit and a lively tune to round it off.
