Shores of Botany Bay
Last updated: 11.10.23
Shores of Botany Bay is yet another song that I came across in The Bushwackers Australian Song Book. This is a happy song of emigration wherein an Irishman foreman, not badly paid, in a fit of whimsy sails to shores of Botany Bay either to work in the goldfields or at his trade as a bricklayer. In either case he reckons on loads of loot.
