I came across this rollicking song in Daily Express Community Song Book where one learns that the sailor in question not only enjoys sundry bottles of alcohol but also varieties of tobacco along with various lasses in different ports - all early in the morning! I very much enjoy singing it myself accompanied by my concertina - just the stuff for the troops!
