"Nobody knows the trouble I've seen" is another gospel that Kerstin Knie and I sang together. The version that I still sing can be found in Lieder, Songs und Gospels 1.
This version is quite different to that found in The Story of the Jubilee Singers where ".... Glory Hallelujah" is replaced by "....Nobody knows like Jesus". There are four verses where successively brothers, sisters, mothers and finally preachers are invited to pray for the singer.
