Muirsheen Durkin
Last updated: 11.10.23
I have never heard this song sung and found it both in Colm O Lochlainn's More Irish Street Ballads as well as in Soodlum's 100 Irish Ballads Volume 2. I sing the Soodlums version as it has an additional verse. The song's of Irishman planning to leave home for America, where intends not to work and be famous, because he's "sick and tired on working" in Muirsheen Durkin.
