Happy birthday to you
Last updated: 11.10.23
"Happy birthday to you" must be perhaps the most sung song on our mad planet. I've heard in many, many countries. Here in Germany it is universally known and sung in English, in fact I've never heard of a German version. The version I sing can be found in Busking for Special Occaisions. This version is a little different from the standard having an additional line of "from old friends and new" which surprises my German listeners.
Whilst searching the Internet for relevant links, I found this unusual version (for the English-speaking world that is) by Navin Kabra which illustrates, I suppose, the universality of this ditty.
