Follow Me
Last updated: 11.10.23
Follow me is another delightful song by Paddy Roberts who also wrote The Ballad of Bethnal Green described above.
This is a wickedly delicious song on the delights of being a wolf cub and all the things one can get up to such as practising knots with brownies. I'm sure that Lord Baden-Powell started rotating in his grave at a steady 60 rpm when this song finally percolated through to his present whereabouts in the universe. I'm equally certain that this ditty was never performed at a Gang Show. It is somewhat reminiscent of Tom Lehrer's "Be prepared" at least in its disrespect. The version I sing can be found in Strictly for Grown-Ups.
