Malvin Franklin

Overview

Malvin Franklin was a New York orchestra leader and Tin Pan Alley composer of popular music. Today he is probably best known for his first published work, Hot Chocolate Rag which he co-authored with Arthur Lange in 1908. In addition to comic songs he wrote a number of rags including Magpie Rag (1908), The Wriggley Rag (1913) and Miserable Rag (1915).
