p_mackeyj.jpgIt is surprising that so little is known about about this performer considering the large number of compositions located. All that can presently (March 2021) be gleaned about Julie Mackey from sheet music covers and by Internet searching is that she has been featured on 15 works published between 1893 and 1902.
Of vaudeville interest is Another's Wife Is Nellie (1894) music Benjamin H. Janssen published by Wm. A. Pond & Co., New York, USA the front cover of which depicts Mackey.
Surfers are welcome to contribute any further information about this performer.
