p_morah.jpgAccording to the Internet source given below, Helen(e) Mora was an American vaudevillian of English parentage.
Billed as "The Great Female Baritone" and "The Comedy Sunbeam", she introduced Gussie Lord Davis's songs Send Back the Picture and The Old Wedding Ring in 1890. She also performed Hamlet in male drag on the vaudeville circuit. She was still performing in 1902 but died in Brooklyn not long after.
Her portrait on the left is taken from her own Kathleen (1896) published by Jos. W. Stern & Co..
