Jane O. Williams was said to have been a popular pianist with the Thiebes-Stierlin Music Co. which published both of her known works. Quoting from Nora Hulse's, Ragtime Refreshments, her The Trifler (1905) was praised by John Stark as an "inspiring" two-step".
