Gesa Scharf, a founder-member of the Bremen Recorder Touring Company, was born on 3rd September 1981 and first started playing the recorder at the age of six. She first studied at the Jugend-Musikschule, Bremen under Christine Delord and then later at the Bremer Musikschule with Dörte Nienstedt. She has recently (February 2001) completed her matriculation, loves tap-dancing and acrobatics. Her favourite vegetable is red paprika whist her favourite colour is green.
