hillmandl_pnm_thumb.jpg All that can presently (May 2013) be gleaned about by internet searching is that Dora Loucks Hillman is the one-off composer of Moustache Johnson (1909) published by Miller Music Publ. Co., Chicago, Illinois, USA.
Surfers are welcome to contribute information about this composer.
In March, 2025 surfer Gary King of Batavia, Illinois kindly sent a press cutting from the "Batavia Herald" published in Batavia, Illinois dated September 8, 1909 which is shown as a thumb on the left.
Here we learn that the composer was a praised and respected music teacher at the School of Oratory and Music in Batavia.

Many thanks Mr. King!
