Julius Fucik (1872-1916)

According to the Internet source given below, Julius Fucik was a Czech military orchestra conductor and composer who studied under Antonín Dvorák. He is known to have written some 308 songs and dances, waltzes, marches, etc and was associated with military and opera orchestra in Krems and Vienna. He also conducted military orchestras in Budapest and Berlin where he established a music publishing house. Today he is probably best known for such works that include The Entry of the Gladiators Op. 68, The Florentine March, Op. 214 Uncle Teddy Op. 239 and Hercegovac Op. 235.
