p_leveya.jpgAs reported in The Decatur Republican, Decatur, Illinois, Friday, 20 February 1891, the three Sisters Levey (Adéle, Carlotta and May-Lilian were English music hall dancers and singers.
They were members of Evans & Hoey comedy company in the show A Parlor Match (1887) which played in Trocadero, London. The sisters appeared in New York during 1890/91 as well as Grand, Decatur. They were described as "shapely girls who sized up pleasingly in their specialties".
Adéle and Carlottawere featured on the sheet music cover of William Hargreaves's The Latest Girl in Town (1901) published by Francis, Day & Hunter.
