p_hilljenny.jpgJenny Hill (née Elizabeth Jane Thompson) was an English music hall performer born in Paddington, London.
She débuted at the age of six or seven performing as the legs of the goose in the pantomime Mother Goose about 1860. By 1868 she started her career in music halls and by 1890 was at the peak of her fame, enjoying top-billing at music halls across London and in the northern provinces.
She made brief tour of New York in 1891 and made an appearance in Johannesburg in 1893. With declining health she made some appearances in London until 1894 using her wheelchair.
Hill died in London at the home of her daughter, Peggie Pryde.
