According to the Internet source given below, Kenneth Daniel Ball was an English jazz musician, best known as the bandleader, lead trumpet player and vocalist in Kenny Ball and his Jazzmen. Personal remarks:
I attended many of his performances at ship's company dances and his various appearances in Portsmouth in the early 1960s. His big hits Midnight in Moscow and Samanthaare amongst my favourites.
In my vinyl collection I have The Best of Ball, Barber and Bilk, Pye Golden Guinea GGL 131.
