This "Concerto No. 2 " by John Baston was amongst the first purchases that I made whilst still a young Petty Officer on H.M.S. Victorious in April 1965. The concerto comprises an Allegro, Adagio and Presto. Despite much manful effort this piece was completely beyond me as a beginner. The whole thing is pretty "black" i.e. full of runs, trills etc. - quite, quite baroque. Most certainly a piece for advanced players.
