Gerd Lünenbürger, a German recorder player. studied in Vienna with
Hans Maria Kneihs and in Amsterdam with
Walter van Hauwe. He was a co-founder of the Swiss "Workshop for Contemporary Music, Biel." Between 1994 and 1995 he studied interactive performance methods with David Wessel at the "Center for New Music and Audio Technologies", Berkeley, California. He has performed at many music festivals and given concerts in Europe and the USA. He is presently (2006) professor for recorder at the "Universität der Künste", Berlin.
