The cover proudly states that Sunflower Rag is "As Introduced by The Ceballos' in Lew Field's Production The Hen Pecks". This is a "classic" ragtime composition - after a 4-bar introduction the work comprises four 16-bar repeated sections split in two equal parts by a 4-bar passage.
