It was Karola Heißenbüttel of the Klingende Runde für jung und alt who introduced me to this work sometime in 1978/9. I remember working through it but have never played it with an ensemble. The somewhat unusual quartet combination of two descants and two trebles at first sight appears a little daunting but the descants range is below G thus limiting possibilities of "squeakiness". It has five movements namely: Largo e staccato, Allegro, Adagio and Vivace. The Vivace is especially lively, gladdening the hearts of baroque lovers.
