Length: approx. 4 ½ mins. Sounds best if the 3rd tenor plays the lower notes of the chords only.
Happy Heine is another bright and cheerful Lampe march with a folksy feel about it with its snatches of German folk melodies. Its form is somewhat complicated in having six distinct strains alternating between the keys of E-flat and B-flat. Happy Heine is well within the scope of medium ability recorder ensembles.
Happy Heine was published by Whitney-Warner Publishing Co., Detroit, Michigan, USA.
A tempo of 96 crotchets/min. is suggested.
