This is a very charming waltz, the first of Joplin's five waltzes, the others being The Augustan Club Waltzes (1901) (DBE 002), Bink's Waltz (1905) (DBE 004), Bethena (1905) (DBE 003) and Pleasant Moments (1909) (DBE 032). Whether by design or accident, this is the only one of Joplin's works where the Fine finds itself in another section than the last.
