A Happy Group celebrates that joyful social occasion namely the barn dance so beloved by the late 19th century generations. The cover of the original sheet music appropriately shows a group of elegant dancers in a rustic barn setting. The dance itself is a jolly affair in AABBACCDB form with a 4-bar introduction. The treble voice has the happy task of tootling from start to finish. Please have fun with the final note - a split-second alternation to a higher voiced instrument may be necessary!
A Happy Group was published by Charles I. Davis, Cleveland, Ohio, USA.
A tempo of 150 crotchets/min. is suggested.
