Length: approx. 2 ¼ mins. sounds best if the 1st tenor and bass are doubled.
Three Strikes is a straightforward brisk and lively march befitting the composer's connections with John Philip Sousa. A.W. Bauer dedicated this piece to John Philip Sousa's Base Ball Team who are depicted in stern postures, typical of the period when group photos were serious affairs and not taken lightly. Three Strikes was published of course by Bauer Bros. Music Co., Oshkosh, Wisconsin, USA.
A tempo of 150 crotchets/min. is suggested.
