Length: approx. 7 mins. Sounds best with the bass doubled.
Rufenreddy is an extremely fine "syncopation", one of eight given in Bargy's list of works. Its form is an 8-bar introduction followed by ABBACC strains. The composition is sprinkled with "jangly" chords which require the most delicate and exquisite tonguing, especially in the close harmonies between sopranino and descant. A joy to perform whereby all voices have their moments of glory and following the melodic flow between the voices. Great stuff!
A tempo of 90 crotchets/min. is suggested.
Rufenreddy was published by Sam Fox Pub. Co., Cleveland, Ohio, USA.
