According to the Internet source given below, The Exeter Recorder Orchestra was formed in the autumn of 2004 to play larger scale and more adventurous works specifically arranged or composed for the orchestral format.
They play a range of music, enjoying arrangements of orchestral works, and modern works written specifically for recorder orchestra of which there are an increasing number, by composers like Steve C. Marshall, Dietrich Schnabel and John Hawkes.
Members come from all over Devon, Cornwall and Dorset, and from the Bristol area.Rehearsals are on the third Saturday of each month and they meet in St James Church Hall, Prince Charles Rd, Exeter.
