Lucy B. Phillips
Last updated: 02.04.23
Lucy B. Phillips is yet another of those one-off lady ragtime composers of which nothing is presently known. Her single published work was That Irresistible Rag (1912) which was published by Chas. L. Johnson, Kansas City, Missouri. The cover of the original sheet music to this rag shows her as a gracious, resolute and beautiful young lady fearlessly facing the camera. Nora Hulse in her 24 Piano Rags writes highly of her only published work.
