The Oxford Companion to Music, Walter Leigh was an English composer killed in action in Libya aged thirty-six. he studied at Cambridge under
Paul Hindemith in Berlin. He wrote piano music, songs, jazz music, a sonatina for viol and piano (International Musical Festival, Vienna, 1932), comic opera and other things.
