Albert Gumble. The brothers attended the Auditorium School of Music with Herman Froehlich
After composing a dozen or so of works between 1898 and 1905 (among them
Japanese Rag (1901) published by
The W.H. Willis Music Company, Cincinnati, Ohio, USA) he
became involved in publishing, starting with
Monroe H. Rosenfeld. He was general manager of
Jerome H. Remick & Co. before teaming up with Walter Douglas and Walter Donaldson to form
Donaldson, Douglas & Gumble Inc. He later joined
Warner Brothers Publications where he remained until his death.
