According to the Internet source given below, Daniel Börtzis a Swedish composer born in Hässleholm.
He studied at the Royal Music College in Stockholm and composition underi Hilding Rosenberg in 1961. In the 1970s and 1980s, he taught at the Royal Music College Orchestration and was president of the Royal Swedish Academy of Music from 1998 to 2003 .
Börtz composed chamber music, orchestral works, including several instrumental concertos, twelve symphonies and several operas.
