Choir: Collegium Musicum Bremen
This work composed in 1759 and 1st performed in Milan on March 19, 1760 is relatively rarely performed today. That said, I had the pleasure of singing the bass part of the first movement "Gloria in excelsis" when a member of the Collegium Musicum Bremen in the late 1990's.
The choir, only on duty for the first and last movements, have the privelige of having plenty of time to admire the soloists, both instrumental and vocal,, the orchestra as well as to check out the enraptured audience. Marvellous stuff indeed!.
