p_melnottetwins.jpg All that can presently (June 2023) be gleaned about the Melnotte Twins from sheet music covers and by Internet searching is that they were presumably American actress/singers who have been featured on 4 works published between 1908 and 1913.
Vaudeville America says of them that The Melnotte Twins are nice looking brunettes, dance well and know how to wear some becoming stage garb, particularly the Quaker maid gowns on their first appearance.
Their portrait on the left is taken from When That Midnight Choo-Choo Leaves For Alabam' (1912) words & music by Irving Berlin, and published by Ted Snyder Music Co., New York, USA.
Surfers are welcome to contribute any further information about these performers.
