According to the Internet source given below, Herbert Ingraham was an American composer of popular music born in Aurora, Illinois. Apparently a musical prodigy, he lead his own theatrical company and conducted an orchestra in whilst still a child in Chicago. On moving to New York to compose for Shapiro, Bernstein & Co., he started a promising career which was tragically cut short dying of tuberculosis aged just 27. His hits included All That I Ask Of You Is Love, Good-by Rose (1910) and Roses Bring Dreams of You (1908). He wrote at least 7 ragtime numbers, the best known of which probably being Poison Ivy (1908).
