Virtually nothing is known about Julian Fredericks other than those bare facts which can be gleaned from the covers of original sheet music. It is somewhat astonishing that for a composer of at least some 40 pieces written between 1902 and 1927 and printed by prestigious publishers (mostly in London), Internet researches presently (November 2008) reveal precisely nothing of his life. His works identified so far include marches, dances, waltzes, songs, suites etc. Of ragtime interest is the cakewalk Dandy Dan published for orchestra in 1908. Similar works from the same period include A Coon's Romance (1908) and Dance of the Dudes (1908).
