Cruiscín Lán
Last updated: 07.01.24
Cruscín Lán (pronounced kroosh-keen lawn and means "Little Full Jug") is the granddaddy of Irish drinking songs. The Clancy Brothers, those master singers of yore, said that poetically that this is one of the better drinking songs. The music of the chorus sounds more German than Irish, but the sentiments are universal to any drinking man - a statement that Dr Oliver Rosteck and I heartily endorse! Versions of this song may be found in Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem Songbook and Songs of Ireland.

This song is included in We're Only Here For The Beer! - Light by Dr Rosteck and myself.
