The Card Song
Last updated: 22.01.22
I first heard The Card Song on Wally Whyton's Folk Music Broadcast in the early eighties being sung by Ian Campbell in September 1984. It's a fine jolly drinking song with a humdinger of a chorus. I've yet to make a decent rendering myself but it's hard to do a reasonable solo performance with Ian Campbell ringing in your ears.
I sang it a few times with the Idle Fellows in the 1980's.
