Carola Bodanowitz studied recorder and pedagogic at the Hochschule, Hildesheim under Ulrike Volkhardt and took master classes with Walter van Hauwe, Ulrich Thieme, Michael Schneider, Michael Barker and Laura dalla Libera. She has also privately studied song with Jessica Cash and Romeo Alavi Kia. She has been building recorders since 1989 some of her instruments being used by the Chalilio Ensemble of which she is a member. She has taught and giver concerts in the Allgaü area since 1990.
