According to the website given below,Giovanni Antonini was born in Milan in 1965 and studied at the Civica Scuola di Musica, Milan as well as at the Centre de Musique Ancienne, Geneva.
He is a founder member of the ensemble "il Giardino Armonico", which he has led since 1989 and with whom he has appeared as conductor as well as arecorder and transverse flute soloist. He has appeared at the most important festivals in Europe, United States, Canada, Japan and Malayia cooperating among others with artists such as Cecilia Bartoli, Eva Mei, Andreas Scholl, Christophe Coin, Katia and Marielle Labèque.
